It’s not been the best month. Not that I’ve missed out on workouts, not at all, but my goodness, have I eaten a lot of excess food!
This has been for a variety of reasons: Mothering Sunday, my Birthday, Easter… basically it feels like the past four weeks have provided far too many occasions and opportunities to eat copious amounts of chocolate and cake! And drink the odd glass or two.
I have still done my HIIT sessions and my POUND classes, but I think the exertions of these will still have struggled against the calories consumed in the onslaught of sugary stuff!
So, this is the thing: I could give in and keep on the cake and chocolate fest, or I suppose I could hang my head and get depressed about it all and then succumb to comfort eating. But I’m not going to do that! I’ve lost weight and I’ve lost inches over the past months and so the way I see it, tomorrow is a new day, it’s the beginning of a new week, and so when I get out of bed, I’m going to renew my intentions to eat healthily, in addition to working out and exercising daily – starting in the morning.
It’s not about an occasional slip up, it’s about developing a healthy lifestyle.
So…
It’s not time to give up!
It’s time to re-set and re-motivate!
Here we go!
