Get up, get your kit on and get moving

The past week or so has been really difficult. Motivating myself to get out of bed and exercise has not been easy. I’ve slept very little due to a pressure build up in my left ear and it has left me feeling rather flat. Add to this the dental treatment – major work on my two front teeth over the past two weeks and the anxiety of telling people at church I am leaving at the end of the year, and it has just made for a very stressful time.

I will be honest, I could easily have thrown in the towel and not done a work out so many times over the past week or so, but my mum instilled in me that we don’t quit. We don’t give up. And so I’ve dragged myself out of bed, pulled on my kit and got on with it. It is true that once you’ve finished a workout, you always feel better.

I am also so very glad that I am committed to leading my Pound classes twice a week. It is sometimes a bit discouraging when I receive the messages to say people are not coming, but I never finish a class without a big grin from ear to ear, no matter how many have joined me. There is such a huge feel good factor to Pound like no other workout I’ve ever done.

So, it’s onwards and upwards. The ear is still troubling and my bed is far too comfortable, but I’m about to get up, get out, get my kit on and get motivated with another super sweaty HIIT session to kick start my day!
