Running again, Pounding again, Spinning again

This week I launched in with my first 5km run of 2022. I also led my first two POUND classes of the year. It’s been good to get moving again and it’s been good to get out of my own head. What I mean by that is that the sheer concentration on the movement alongside the music which accompanies it really does take us out of ourselves.
I have reached the conclusion that I’m not too good at just lifting weights or making my way around the machines in the gym. I thrive on the exercise with others and with the motivation of the music.
Of course it’s been a little bit painful on the muscles for a day or two after each session, but after so many weeks of stagnation it is a case of ‘no pain, no gain’.
As always I view it as a continual journey, a way of living healthily, both physically and mentally. So here’s to the rest of 2022.
I’ve just got to get back into HITT again now! 😂
